Ms. codex. Title supplied by cataloger. Collation: Parchment, fol. i (parchment) + 241 leaves + i (parchment) Layout: Written in 1 column of 20 lines, ruled in lead; textblock: 120 x 80 mm. Script: Written in gothic bookhand. Decoration: 13 full-page miniatures; 17 historiated initials with framing bars, some inhabited; 24 roundels (in calendar) and illuminated initials and line-fillers throughout. Shelfmark: Philadelphia, Free Library of Philadelphia, MS Widener 9. The hands of two artists have been determined. The artist of the prefatory cycle and psalter also illuminated a psalter in the collection of the Comte de Boisrouvray (sold at auction Sotheby's, London, July 6, 2000, lot 77), as well as a manuscript of Chretien de Troyes in Princeton, University Library, Garrett 125, and a book of hours in Baltimore, The Walters Art Museum, W. 86. Two other manuscripts have been attributed to the second artist: Le Mans, Bibliothèque Municipale, MS 354, and Paris, Bibliothèque Nationale de France, MS fr. 342).
